Doyle & Doyle West Store Opening

When we think of New York’s Meatpacking District, our minds have forgotten the dingy, creepy and meat-filled days of the past. The Meatpacking District has transformed into a chic, hip, and fashionable spot for all New Yorkers and tourists. Whether you are trying to find a fun place to party or just a great place to shop, this is the place for you.

On Thursday night, I had the honor of attending the new store opening of my favorite vintage jeweler Doyle and Doyle. Their new store, which is located on 412 West 13th Street, is a glamorous destination. The new store is so beautiful that it makes you feel like you are in Tiffany’s in the 1960’s. It is so well organized, with all the cases so perfectly arranged, that you feel like your in the wing of The Met where they have all those vintage snuff boxes. But most importantly, the staff is so kind, friendly, and completely wonderful that you will feel so at home that asking to try on that $22,000 necklace (even though you can’t afford it) is not something you’re even remotely embarrassed about.

The party itself was a real hit. The food was provided by Fig and Olive and their was a pretty full open bar. The guests were interesting and all very cool. But the real highlight of the night were the pieces of jewelery. Look below for a shots of some of my favorites.

Obviously, I won’t just leave you all hanging without an outfit post so below is what I wore to the event. Classic, simple, but a big edgy.  I chose a really simple bronzed eye for my make-up. Demure but festive.
